World Heart Beat Music Academy
World Heart Beat Music Academy provides high-quality music education and exciting personal development opportunities for children and young people living in Wandsworth and the surrounding boroughs. World-class musicians teach students aged 5-25 a richly diverse music programme from grassroots to early-career level in: Asian, Brazilian, Celtic, Eastern European, Gospel, Gypsy, jazz, Latin and reggae. The academy is committed to making music education accessible to children and young people from low income and disadvantaged backgrounds.
I am helping the academy deliver a major capital fundraising campaign to support the development of a new World Heart Beat Music Cultural Centre, launching in Wandsworth in 2021. I also raise funds from a range of public funders, trusts and foundations to support the organisation's core projects. To date, I have secured over half a million for the organisation - including making a successful application to join the Arts Council's National Portfolio of Organisations from April 2018.
